09/26 "Organelle Trail"

I learned many things. For example, the mitochondria uses sugar to create energy that powers the cell. Also, cell walls are in plant cells only. There are many different organelles such as the golgi, the mitochondria, the cell wall and membrane, and the nucleus.

I think that I could improve when I take notes by writing down all of the information that I find. For example, when I took notes on the different organelles I had all the information I needed on the wanted posters such as the function, an image,  and the location. Instead of writing it all down I only put down the function of each and which organelles were only in plant cells therefore when I took the test it was a hard for me to remember what each organelle looked like.

09/19 "The Cell"

This week I learned about cells. I learned that atoms make up everything including cells. I also learned that chloroplast is in plant cells and that they release oxygen. Chloroplast is the reason plants are green. Cells are in all things alive like plants and animals.

How much did you know about the topic before we started? What do you now know about the topic that you did not know before?

Before I knew almost nothing about cells. The only thing I knew about cells before was that they are in us. I thought that cells were in everything but now I know that cells are only in living things.
Now I now that there are different parts of a cell all called organelles. There are many different organelles such as chloroplast, cell membrane, cell wall, and mitochondria.

This week I learned that there are two observations, the quantitative and the qualitative. The quantitative always has something to do with numbers and the qualitative is describing.

I am confident that a hypothesis is a possible answer to a testable question.

I had an awesome week and i learned a lot. There is nothing else you could do to make next week better.

Letter to the School Board

Science classes should stay.
I think that science classes should stay. Science is all about experimenting to learn new things. You can not just read it out of a book. Plus, it is more enjoyable to do an experiment. Science is good to learn because science is used all the time, it also crosses all subject, and it gives you general tech skills.

Science is used all the time.
Science is part of our daily lives. Most people do not know this but we use science all the time. For example, we ask questions all the time, asking and wondering about things is doing science. Every time you smell, feel, see, hear, or taste you are doing science. Observing things is also science. As you can see science is used all the time by everyone.

Science Crosses all subjects.
All subjects have science in them whether it is a large amount or a small amount. For example we use science to create new products. At first mattresses  were uncomfortable but with science we discovery softer mattresses like memory foam. We also use science in geography because we use science to discover new land and create the maps. As use can see, science is in all subjects.

Science provides general tech skills.
We use science to create many things. We use science to create many things such as technology, computers, electricity, and solar panels. All things electronic would not be here if we did not have science. Also when you do an experiment or anything science related you often need to use the internet and the more you use the internet the more you get use to it and the more you get use to it the more you learn about it.

Why I think we should keep science.
Science is unimportant and all science is discovered and can be found online. Therefore, all science shall now be read and taught in textbooks. I disagree because not all science is yet discovered and because we use science all the time. Science is important to our education and it is also fun to learn. These are my reasons to keep science.

And that is why we should keep science.
As you can see science is very important to our education and it is used in everything. Science is exiting and so fun to do. It is also a great and interesting thing to learn about. These are my many reasons on why science classes should stay.

Three things I like about Adventure are that we have more physical education, we get to do more science experiment, and I get to have six teachers. Those are a few reasons I like Adventure.

One thing that I learned in science is that it is everywhere.Nothing would be here without science, not even us!
